Description

Bronze mit schöner bräunlicher Patina. Leicht konischer Korpus mit kräftig ausgestelltem Fuß und Lippe. Auf der Wandung umlaufender Zierfries mit Fabelwesen. Die Lippe mit Umschrift "PETRUS VANDEN GHEIN ME FECIT MCCCCCXLV". Höhe 12,5 cm, Durchmesser 15,5 cm, Gewicht 4,18 kg. Peter van den Ghein I. (1500 - 1561), als Glockengießer von 1528 bis 1561 in Mecheln tätig.
