Description
This gown, elaborately embroidered with gold threads, was made for a noblewoman to wear at a birthday celebration. Lining of gold silk damask (heavily damaged). Twelve five-clawed dragons surrounded by clouds with bats over waves with treasures and Chinese characters on the chest, back, and shoulders amidst the characters for good luck and longevity.
