Description
The M 1886 helmet with a black lacquered leather skull and angular front visor, gilt brass fittings, screw-mounted emblem in the exceptionally fine, large edition. The cross base with three star-shaped screws, a bead and reel frieze and removable, fluted spike. Slightly convex chinscales with leather underlay on rosettes, the Reich cockade and state cockade both in officer's issue, smooth blue silk lining, leather sweatband, the old size "58" in the skull, the visors lined in green and red respectively, in the old helmet case (scuffed, indented). Includes a parade plume in white buffalo hair with a narrow, fluted funnel. In the old case. Furthermore, in fine museum production, the tunic made of dark green cloth with collar, piping and Swedish cuffs all in red facing colour, yellow buttons, button-on red parade rabatt, epaulettes for a cavalry captain, lined in green silk. Comes with the green trousers with red stripes down the sides. Furthermore, the associated silver cartridge box with bandolier and the parade sash. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Impressive, extremely rare uniform ensemble. Only the fabric of the uniform was replaced by a first-class museum production, owing to moth damage, all other components, such as buttons, bandolier, epaulettes etc. are original. The plume case and the lining of the tunic both bearing a typewritten label with the name of the regiment.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
