A sabre for officers of the hussars, 2nd half of the 18th century

Description

Elaborate collector’s reproduction. Sturdy, slightly curved single-edged blade, both sides with fuller and etched crescent moon, on the back stamped "Wurmser", double-edged point. Brass knuckle-bow hilt, the pommel with engraved rococo décor, grip covered with brown leather. Scabbard with black leather cover, brass fittings (rococo décor) and two movable suspension rings. Length 96 cm. Comes with an old, hand-coloured engraving of an officer of the Hussar Regiment Wurmser from the 1790s, under glass, in an old, gilt wooden frame (minor flaws, dimensions 19 x 14 cm).
