Description

One-piece hammered skull with sturdy roped comb. Encircled with lining rivets, iron plume holder riveted to the nape. Two pierced holes on either side with ornamental pewter rosettes. Pivoted peak with finely turned and roped edge. Pivoted visor with distinctively ridged vertical bars. Pivoted bevor with two spring-loaded latches on the right side. Gorget-plate with finely turned and roped edge. All surfaces with old blackening, finely engraved lines at the comb, visor, and gorget. Remains of original leather straps on the inside. Height 35 cm. Finely crafted cuirassier helmet in excellent condition.
