18–19 May: Works of Art, Antiquities & Ancient Art
We present a magnificent Fabergé cigarette case by the master goldsmith Henrik Wigström, crafted in gilt silver and set with brilliant guilloché enamel and rubies.
It originates from the estate of Baron Max Fould-Springer and Cécile de Rothschild, (Christie’s Paris, 11 March 2003).
19 - 20 May: historical and modern firearms
Korth – this legendary maker of high-end revolvers in hard-to-beat quality does not need any introduction – so let's rather talk about the great collection coming to auction in May!
Almost a dozen of different revolvers in all sizes and calibres, including gold-inlaid luxury models, some in their original cases, will come to auction. What’s even more spectacular are three different Korth pistols, extremely rare and almost impossible to come by. Make a note!
21 May: Arms & Armour and antique Firearms
Discover exquisite weapons from the Orient.
Among the highlights of our impressive selection of oriental arms are, for example, an Ottoman shamshir with a wootz blade, an Ottoman kard with finely nielloed silver mounts, and a Mughal-period khanjar with a jade hilt, India, 18th century.
Look forward to an auction featuring an exceptional selection of historic weapons.
22 May: Orders and Military Collectibles until 1918!
The life-size photographs (probably by Joseph Albert, 1825–1886), from private Wittelsbach ownership, are true rarities.
These masterpieces of early photography are distinguished by their subtle characterisation of the members of the Bavarian royal family and are equal to the princely portraits of Franz Xaver Winterhalter. The melancholic atmosphere of the photographs already seems to foreshadow the tragic destinies of the four young members of the House of Wittelsbach.
Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria (1845–1886), Marie of Bavaria, Queen of the Two Sicilies (1841–1925), Sophie in Bavaria, Duchess of Alençon (1847–1897), Prince Otto of Bavaria (1848–1916).
23 May: Orders and Military Collectibles from 1919 onwards
This significant estate comes directly from family ownership and has never previously appeared in any collection.
Such rare collectibles and sought-after rarities from this period will be available on 23 May. The selection is extensive: historical documents, rare awards, uniforms, helmets, orders and much more.
But there are plenty of other surprises and highlights in auction —don’t miss out!
