Gotischer Feldharnisch im Stil um 1480, unter Verwendung
einzelner, originaler Teile
Visierschaller mit einteilig geschlagener Kalotte, auf dem abgeflach-
ten Mittelgrat eine Lochung zur Befestigung der Helmzier. Auf-
schlächtiges, originales Visier mit seitlicher, gefederter Verriegelung.
Abschlächtiger Bart mit umgeschlagenem Brechrand und gegrateter
Kragenplatte. Originale, zweifach geschobene Brustplatte, die Kanten
mit durchbrochen gearbeiteten Lilienmotiven dekoriert. Kräftig umge-
schlagene Brechränder. Halterung für den Rüsthaken und drei anhän-
gende Bauchreifen ergänzt. Anhängend gegratete Tassetten. Zweifach
geschobener Rücken mit drei Gesäßreifen. Armzeug mit fünffach ge-
schobenen, kleinen Schultern und gekehlten, halben Armröhren. Ori-
ginale Meuseln, teils restauriert, mit anhängenden Unterarmröhren.
Gegratete Schwebescheiben. Einteilig gearbeitete Oberdiechlinge mit
sechsfach geschobenen Kniebuckeln. Im Scharnier zu öffnende Un-
terdiechlinge. Vierfach geschobener, im Scharnier zu öffnender Fuß-
schutz, an den Fersen vernietete, lange Radsporen aus vergoldetem
Messing. Höhe ca. 177 cm.
Aus Teilen des 15. und 19. Jhdts. zusammengestellter Harnisch mit Er-
gänzungen des 20. Jhdts.
A Gothic armour for the field in the style of circa 1480, composed
of individual, original parts
Visored sallet, the skull forged in one piece, with a perforation on the
flattened medial ridge to insert the crest. Original pivoted visor, with a
spring-loaded clasp on the side. The pivoted bevor with turned, flanged
edge and ridged collar plate. The original breastplate with two sliding
lames, the edges embellished with openworked fleur de lys motifs. Pro-
minent turned flanges. The bracket for the lance rest and three attached
faulds are later replacements. The ridged tassets attached. The back-
plate sliding on two lames, the culet of three lames. The arm defences
with small pauldrons sliding on five lames and grooved half cannons.
The couters original, partially restored, the vambraces attached. Ridged
besagues. The cuisses forged in one piece, the poleyns sliding on six
lames. The greaves opening on a hinge. The hinged sabatons sliding
on four lames, with long rowel spurs in gilt brass riveted onto the heels.
Height circa 177 cm.
The suit of armour composed of parts from the 15th and 19th centuries,
with 20th century replacements.
