Das linke Bein untergeschlagen, das rechte angewinkelt, dar- auf die rechte Hand ruhend. Der linke Unter- arm auf einem tafelförmigen Felsvorsprung gestützt, in der Hand eine Schriftrolle. Links vom Ellenbogen eine Meiping-Vase. Das Kleid mit elegantem Faltenwurf in geschwungenen Linien unterhalb des Halses geöffnet und den Blick auf eine juwelenbesetzte Kette gewäh- rend. Das Antlitz mit den Kennzeichen eines Buddhas (Urna auf der Stirn und durchbohr- te, langgezogene Ohrläppchen). Die Haare über der Stirn durch ein juwelenbesetztes Band zu einem Knoten zusammengefasst, darüber ein Schleier. Auf dem Rücken unterhalb des Nackens eineMarke. Haarriss amFingeransatz der rechten Hand, minimale Abnutzungsspu- ren, sonst sehr gut erhalten. Höhe 35 cm. Reizvolle „Blanc de Chine”-Plastik. Provenienz: Norddeutsche Privatsammlung. A Dehua figure of the Guanyin with mark, probably late Qing Dynasty or Republican (19th - 20th century) Guanyin, symbol of compassionate mercy, sitting on a rock. The left leg folded under, the right bent, the right hand resting on it. The left forearm supported on a tablet-shaped ledge, a scroll in the hand. To the left of the elbow a Meiping vase. The dress with elegant drapery in curved lines opened below the neck allowing a view on a jewelled necklace. The face with the marks of a Buddha (urna on the forehead and pierced, long earlobes). The hair above the forehead is tied in a knot by a jewelled ribbon, above which is a veil. A mark on the back be- low the nape of the neck. Hairline crack at the base of the finger on the right hand, minimal signs of wear, otherwise in very good con­ dition. Height 35 cm. Charming Blanc de Chine sculpture. Zylindrischer Holztopf mit 1,5 cm dicker Wandung. Die feine Maserung durch Politur zur Geltung gebracht, die Färbung zur Mün- dung und zum Boden hin von Rotbraun in Dunkelbraun übergehend. In der Mitte des Bodens ein herausnehmbarer, zylindrischer Einsatz mit überkragendem Rand. Übliche Gebrauchsspuren, sonst sehr guter Gesamtzu- stand. Höhe 18,8 cm. Durchmesser 18,8 cm. Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung. A large brush pot, probably rosewood (Huanghuali), 19th - 20th century Cylindrical wooden pot with 1.5 cm thick wall. The fine tracery accentuated by polishing, the coloration towards the mouth and the bottom changing from reddish brown to dark brown. In the center of the base a removable cylindri- cal insert with overhanging rim. Usual signs of use, otherwise in very good overall condition. Height 18.8 cm. Diameter 18.8 cm.
