seitiger, floraler Goldtauschierung. Griff aus
kristallinem Walrosszahn. Goldtauschierte
Griffmontierung mit zwei schauseitigen Zier
nieten. Chagrinlederbezogene Holzscheide
mit en suite goldeingelegten Eisenbeschlägen,
am Mundbeschlag aufgelegte Zarenchiffre
„N I”. Länge 50,5 cm. Sehr feine Ausführung
in guter Erhaltung.

gold-inlaid kindjal with the tsarist cipher
“N I” for Nicholas I, mid-19th century
The sturdy blade fullered on both sides, with
floral gold inlays on the obverse. The grip
carved in crystalline walrus ivory. The gold
inlaid grip mounts with two decorative rivets
on the front. The wooden scabbard covered in
shagreen leather with en suite gold inlaid iron
fittings, the tsarist cipher “N I” appliquéd at
the locket. Length 50.5 cm. Exquisite work-
manship in fine condition.
