A deluxe pair of Albanian silver-mounted miquelet pistols, dated 1792
Octagonal, then round, smooth bore barrels in 15 mm calibre, with off-
set midribs. The inscription “London” struck at the breeches, engraving
on the tangs. Intricately engraved miquelet locks, marks stamped into
both lock plates, dated “1792”. The ends of the lock plates with silver-
plated panels. The full walnut stocks with delicately cut forearms. The
heavy silver furniture with fine, partially nielloed, floral décor in relief.
Indicated iron ramrods. Length 42.5 cm each.
