52 | Los 607 Gelbgrundige Schale mit grünem und auberginefarbenem Dekor, mit Qianlong-Siegel- marke, wohl aus der Epoche Eine imposante Schale von ebenso imposanter Größe, welche die Zeit seit der Regierung des Qianlong-Kaisers (1735 - 1796), einem der bedeutendsten Kaiser der Qing-Dynastie, unbescha- det überstanden hat. In dem ausgeklügelten Dekor sind überall buddhistische Sym- bole zu entdecken – in der Mitte ein graviertes Shou-Symbol, dieses wird von Fledermäusen umgeben, um diese wiederum sind acht weitere buddhistische Embleme angeordnet und da- rauf folgen Lotosblüten. Auf der Fahne der Schale finden sich dann weitere Shou-Symbole und die unvermeidlichen Drachen. Aber selbst die Unterseite der Schale wurde nicht ausgelassen und in fein abgestimmten Farbschattierungen findet man hier ein weiteres hochfeines Dekor. Wer feines Porzellan sammelt, kommt an diesem Stück sicher nicht vorbei. Lot 607 A yellow-ground green- and aubergine- decorated dish with Qianlong seal mark, probably from that period This outstanding dish of exceptional quality and impressive size (41 cm in diameter!) has survived for 250 years with- out suffering any damage, chips or cracks, dating back to the government of Emperor Qianlong (1735 - 1796), one of the most important rulers of the Qing dynasty. The sophisticated decoration of the dish is dominated by symbols of Buddhism. The centre is incised with a shou medallion encircled by wufu (five bats), lotus blossoms and clouds enclosed by eight berib- boned Buddhist emblems. Inevitably dragons appear as well, mixed with shou characters on the everted rim. The underside is painted with carefully shaded peaches and flowers inter- spersed with pairs of confronted bats, all on a yellow ground and decorated in differing shades of green and aubergine.
