In the past, the transportation of large, fragile, particularly long or exceptionally heavy objects, sometimes even a combination of two or more, led to interminable price calculations of the optimal packing and shipping costs – and thus often to enormous delays in invoicing, which understandably resulted in the dissatisfaction of our customers. Therefore, starting from this auction, Hermann Historica will no longer organise the transportation of any objects that cannot be packed and shipped quickly and easily by standard means (such as small icons, jewellery, small figurines, daggers, sabres, orders, steel helmets, etc.). The packaging and transportation of complex objects is best left to specialised service providers with the necessary expertise and experience to handle shipping, along with sufficient staff and proper packaging materials. This will enable us to significantly speed up the invoicing process. This ruling does not apply to firearms, which will continue to be sent via us in the future. As of Auction 98, you will receive your invoice directly after the sale has closed. If your invoice includes shipping costs, Hermann Historica will be handling the transportation. If no shipping costs are specified, you are kindly requested to make your own arrangements. We can recommend a number of reputable companies based nearby with whom we have worked successfully in the past. They are extremely professional and efficient in arranging for the goods to be picked up from our premises, then packed and shipped. On request, we will be happy to obtain shipping quotations from our partners on your behalf. These companies also handle customs clearance for export outside the EU. Naturally, you may entrust your objects to anoNews from the shipping department ther forwarding agent if you prefer, provided the carrier also offers packaging services.
