64 | A fine flintlock carbine with fire-gilt barrel, Johann Adam Knod, Carlsbad, circa 1730 The octagonal bronze barrel slightly constricted in the middle with fire gilding over the entire surface (abraded in places). The muzzle with approx. 3 cm loading shell, six-groove rifled bore in 12 mm calibre. Dovetailed gilt sights with folding rear sight. Finely engraved scrolling bands with portrait cartouches, signed “Johann Adam Knod” at the breech.
