Each in the shape of a hollow cast, conical and eight-fold faceted fitting surmounted by an eagle’s head. Robust hook shaped like a stylised bird’s head as strap holder of the wagon suspension on either side. Nice green patina. Heights 12.5 and 13 cm. Provenance: South German private collection. 311990 II € 2.000 22 Bronzestatuette eines Kriegers, etruskisch, 3. - 2. Jhdt. v. Chr. Bronzefigur eines Kriegers mit Muskelpanzer über kurzer Tunica. Das lange, nach hinten gekämmte Haar fällt mit zwei Strähnen vorne über die Schulter auf den Brustpanzer. Die Linke leicht angewinkelt und am Körper angelegt, der Unterarm schräg nach unten weisend; die Rechte erhoben, im Gestus der „Adlocutio”, der Ansprache eines militärischen Führers an seine Truppen. Der Zeigefinger der rechten Hand und der linke Fuß abgebrochen. Schöne olivfarbene Patina. Minimale Korrosionsspuren und Reste von Erdkrusten auf der Vorderseite, auf der Rückseite Kratzer quer über den Panzer und auf dem linken Oberschenkel. Dazu ein Plexiglassockel. Höhe 11,3 cm (ohne Sockel). Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung, übernommen aus der Sammlung des Großvaters. Bronze statuette of a warrior, Etruscan, 3rd - 2nd century B.C. Bronze figure of a warrior wearing muscle armour over a short tunic. The long, combed back hair falls in two strands over the shoulder onto the cuirass. The left hand is slightly bent and rests against the body, the forearm is white and slanting downwards; the right hand is raised in the gesture of the “adlocutio”, the address of a military leader to his troops. The index finger of the right hand and the left foot broken off. Beautiful olive patina. Minimal traces of corrosion and remnants of crusted soil on the front, scratches across the armour and on the left thigh on the back. Comes with a plexiglass base. Height 11.3 cm (without base).
