Ausgezeichnet erhaltene und fachmännisch stabilisierte Eisensubstanz. Oberfläche gewachst. Tülle unten mit geringfügigen Ausbrüchen. Im Inneren Reste des hölzernen Schafts erhalten. Länge 54,5 cm. A Central European Carolingian winged iron lance, 9th century Laurel leaf-shaped, damascened blade, merging at the bottom into a spout that is initially rectangular in cross-section and finally round. On the side of the spout two “wings” with vertical grooves, horizontal at the top, drawn inwards at the bottom. On both sides of the surface of the spout a lancet-shaped decoration with prominent indentations. Excellently preserved and expertly stabilised iron substance. Waxed surface. Spout with minor chipping at the bottom. Remains of the wooden shaft preserved inside. Length 54.5 cm. Maximum width 6.5 cm.
