Oben über eine Öse mit einem kleinen Befestigungsplättchen verbunden, darin noch einer (von ursprünglich zwei) Befestigungs- stiften. Intakt. Länge 3,4 cm. Provenienz: Aus einer in Süddeutschland aufbewahrten Privatsammlung. Erworben in den 1970er bis 1980er Jahren im Kunsthandel und aus deutschen Privatsammlungen. Abgesetz- ter, kurzer Hals mit trichterförmiger Öffnung. Wenige leichte Eindellungen, sonst intakt. Höhe 7 cm. Mit Ständer. Dieser Aryballos dürfte zusam- men mit einer bronzenen Strigilis Teil eines Toiletten-Sets gewesen sein. Vgl. einen Fund aus Uerdingen (Rheinland) im British Muse- um (1868,0105.46). Provenienz: Aus einer französischen Privat- sammlung, erworben auf dem französischen Kunstmarkt. Seit 2015 in Kommission in deut- schem Kunsthandel. A Roman bronze aryballos, 1st - 3rd century Bronze aryballos of a nearly perfect spherical form with a short neck. Intact. Height 7 cm. This Aryballos was probably part of a toilet set together with a bronze strigilis. C f . a find from Uerdingen (Rhineland) in the BritishMuseum (1868,0105.46). Campana- Relief, mit bacchischer Szene, römisch, 1. - 2. Jhdt. Rechter Teil einer Campana-Reliefplatte. In deutlich hervortretendemhalbplastischenReli- ef links ein bewegter jugendlicher, nackter Bac- chus, dem ein Leopardenfell von den Schultern herabfällt. Dahinter ein bärtiger Silen mit ei- nem überaus vollen Korb Trauben. Beide Figu- ren nach links. Rückseitig altes, verblichenes Etikett: „Architektonisches Thonrelief/Satir und Silen/um Christi Geburt”. Detailreiche, gut komponierte Reliefdarstellung. An beiden Köpfen Korrosionsspuren. Die Platte ist links und oben gebrochen, rechte untere Ecke fehlt. Höhe 25 cm. Provenienz: Aus österreichischer Privat- sammlung. A Roman Campana relief with Bacchian scene, 1st - 2nd century.
