Metallteile eines Kästchens, überwiegend aus Bronze, darunter eine rechteckige Schloss- platte mit festgerostetem Eisenschlüssel und inseitigem Eingericht mit eisernem Schubrie- gel. Ferner zwei Überfallriegel, ein Henkel, ein kreisförmiges Beschlagblech, sechs Be- schlagteile in Maskaronform, ein eiserner Ring und neun Teile einer geflochtenen Bron- zekette. Größe der Schlossplatte 11 x 11,7 cm. Provenienz: Aus einer in Süddeutschland aufbewahrten Privatsammlung. Erworben in den 1970er bis 1980er Jahren im Kunsthandel und aus deutschen Privatsammlungen. Fittings of a Roman box, 2nd - 3rd century Metal parts of a small cascet, mainly of bronze, underneath a rectangular lock plate with rusted iron key and inside courtyard with iron bolt. Further two overfall bolts, a handle, a circular fitting plate, six fitting parts inmascaron shape, an iron ring and nine parts of a braided bronze chain. Size of the lock plate 11 x 11.7 cm.
