| 575 A uniform ensemble for enlisted men in the Cuirassier Regiment „Graf Gessler“ (Rhenish) No. 8, circa 1900 Helmet for enlisted men with nickel-plated iron skull (small dents, minor patches of rust here and there), brass trim, the eagle emblem with a Vaterland banner appliquéd at the front (leather wedge fastening). Convex chinscales with leather underlay attached to M 91 side post lugs, to the right the large state cockade in lacquered sheet iron. Brass base at the crown with four ball-head screws and removable, smooth iron spike. Good, black leather liner (minor tears and imperfections), the interior of the front visor lacquered in green, the rear visor in black. The manufacturer‘s stamp „C.E.Juncker“ on the front visor rail. Steel cuirass lined in unbleached linen, a border of circular buttons in non-ferrous metal, a shot indentation next to the medial ridge. Matching backplate, attached scale bands with leather underlay, waist straps. Worn across the body, a leather cartridge box appliquéd with embossed medallion and white leather bandolier (the paintwork refreshed). Moreover, the white tunic with a green and white border, piping and cuffs, yellow metal buttons, hook fastening and fabric shoulder boards with squadron buttons „1“. Edged weapon hanger in white leather. Heavy cavalry sword M 1819 of Russian form, sturdy single-edged blade with double fullers (stained/pitted in places, manufacturer „W.S. & C.“) and polished steel scabbard (length approx. 110 cm), thong. The trousers in white gabardine. Black leather boots with spurs. Two gauntlet gloves in white leather. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age.
