Vergoldetes, im Empire-Stil verziertes Buntmetall-Bügelgefäß mit Löwenkopfknauf und vergoldeter kunstvoller Kupferdrahtwicklung. Buntmetallscheide von ovalem Querschnitt (wohl deutsche Fertigung, kleine Dellen, Vergoldungsspuren), schauseitige Verzierung, zwei bewegliche Trageringe an reliefierten Ringbändern, Schlepper durch Gebrauch abgeschliffen. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Länge 104,5 cm. Der Überlieferung nach wurde Louis Joseph Maupoint (1766 - 1849) dieser edle Säbel im Jahr 1806 geschenkt vom 10. Husarenregiment bei seinem Wechsel zum Kommandeur des 16. Chasseur-Regiments der Grande Armée. Both sides of the upper third lavishly etched with gold-inlaid ornaments with trophies and tendrils, and the bearer‘s monogram „LM“ in an oval. The motto „Pro Patria Pro Domina“ in an oval on the other side, the maker „Manufacture de Klingenthal Coulaux Fréres“ on the spine. Empire-style knuckle-bow hilt in gilt, non-ferrous metal with lion‘s head pommel and ornate, gilt copper wire winding. Non-ferrous metal scabbard of oval cross-section (probably of German manufacture, small dents, remnants of gilding). The front embellished, two movable suspension rings on ring bands in relief. The chape worn from use. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Length 104.5 cm. By all accounts, Louis Joseph Maupoint (1766 - 1849) was presented this noble sabre by the 10th Hussar Regiment in 1806 on his appointment as commander of the 16th Chasseur Regiment of the Grande Armée. 344256 II € 3.000
