Bewegliche Kronenagraffe mit Steinbesatz aus farbiger Emaille, blütenförmige Punze an der Öse. Rotes Seidenband (oben offen) mit Rosette für Offiziere. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Trage- und Altersspuren. Breite des Kreuzes 40,4 mm, Gewicht 22 g. Außerdem eine handschriftliche Postkarte an „Herrn Landgerichtsdirector Bunsen“, einen Verwandten Robert Bunsens, datiert 29. 8. 1890 (Inhalt nicht in Zusammenhang mit Verleihung). Die vorliegende Ehrung aus dem Jahr 1861 wird erwähnt in der Biographie „Robert Wilhelm Bunsen“ von Georg Lockemann (1949) auf S. 242. Der entsprechende Auszug liegt dem Los in Kopie bei. Gold medallions, enamelled in blue on the edge, featuring Napoleon‘s profile and the imperial eagle. White enamelled cross arms (hairline cracks), green enamelled wreath of leaves (small chips here and there). Movable crown riband buckle set with stones of coloured enamel, a petal-shaped hallmark on the loop. Red silk ribbon (open at the top) with officer‘s rosette. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age and wear. Width of the cross approx. 40.4 mm, weight 22 g. Moreover, a handwritten postcard addressed to „Herrn Landgerichtsdirector Bunsen“, a relative of Robert Bunsen, dated 29 August 1890 (contents not related to the award). This decoration dated 1861 is mentioned on p. 242 in Georg Lockemann‘s 1949 biography of „Robert Wilhelm Bunsen“. A copy of the relevant extract is enclosed with the lot.
