Stehende männliche Heiligenfigur in reich ornamentierter Kasel mit vegetabilen Arabesken und Kreuzmotiv auf der Rückseite; leicht geneigter Kopf, geöffnet gehaltene Hände. Lineare, dicht geführte Ornamentik und gleichmäßige Braunton-Patina; feine Kerbschnitt- und Reliefarbeit im Gewanddekor sowie im Haar, glatt polierte Oberfläche. Ikonografisch ein katholischer Heiliger oder Geistlicher; in der linken Hand sichtbares Bohrloch als Ansatzstelle eines ehemals montierten, heute fehlenden Attributs. Auf separatem, wohl späterem rechteckigen Holzsockel montiert. Unterseite mit Sammlungsetikett „C. van Herck“. Zustand mit kleineren Bestoßungen und Abrieb an exponierten Kanten (Hände, Gewandsaum, Sockelrand), vereinzelten Kratzern; insgesamt stabil ohne erkennbare strukturelle Schäden. Maße ca. 17 × 5,5 × 4,5 cm. „Boxwood Saint figure“, Anonymous (probably Flemish/Antwerp), circa 1700 Finely carved boxwood with sharp, detailed work. Standing male Saint figure in a richly ornamented chasuble featuring plant-based arabesques and a cross motif on the back; head slightly tilted, hands held open. Linear, densely executed ornamentation and an even brown patina; fine incised and relief carving in the robe’s decoration and in the hair, with a smooth, polished surface. Iconographically, a Catholic saint or clergyman; a drill hole visible in the left hand where an attribute was once mounted but is now missing. Mounte†d on a separate, likely later rectangular wooden base. Underside bears a collection label reading „C. van Herck“. Condition: minor chips and wear on exposed edges (hands, hem of the robe, edge of the base), isolated scratches; overall stable with no discernible structural damage.
