Ein Gefäß mit Deckel/Abschluss in Form eines schreienden Affens, der seine Hände auf dem Bauch gelegt hat. Weit geöffnetes Maul mit Öffnung, aus der der Weihrauch heraustreten kann. Altersbedingte Gebrauchsspuren, Spitze auf dem Kopf des Affens bestoßen, sonst guter Zustand. Maße: 28,5 x 20 x 14 cm. Sehr seltenes Stück. Die Altersbestimmung erfolgt aufgrund der Charakteristika des Objekts, ohne ein TL Gutachten angefertigt zu haben. KULTURGUT! A Pre-Columbian ape-shaped pottery double-vessel, Maya Culture, circa 900 A.D. A double vessel consisting of two nearly cylindrical containers joined together. One container features a lid/cap shaped like a screaming monkey with its hands resting on its stomach. The wide-open mouth has an opening through which incense can be burned. Signs of wear due to age; the tip on the monkey’s head is chipped; otherwise in good condition. Dimensions: 28.5 x 20 x 14 cm. A very rare piece. The age of the object was determined based on its characteristics, without having obtained a TL appraisal. CULTURAL ASSET!
