Red, white and blue metallic fabric rosette cockade applied to front, red cloth pompom with gilt numeral “1” with four gilt cords attached to cockade by gilt metal button with flaming grenade motif. Black leather visor, edge trimmed in gilt metal, smooth black underside. Black leather suspension liner with perforations for tie straps and black leather chinstrap. Size circa 53 cm. Bewegliche, einteilige Schuppenbänder aus geprägtem Messingblech an blütenförmigen Rosetten. Breites Lederschweißband (Risse, berieben), Hinterschirm mit Leder unterfüttert. Seitlicher Federstutz feht. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Infantry 27th Regiment cap body in red wool with single strand of black yarn soutache piping around circumference, extending vertically at each side with circular piped border around top. Cap band of dark-blue cloth with red cloth numerals “27” adhered to front (numeral 7 is loose). Black leather lacquered visor with stitched rim, black textured underside. Blue cotton lining, brown leather sweatband with manufacturer name impressed in gold foil, silk tie at rear, white cloth label hand-applied with owner name in ink “GOMBERT”.
