| 289 Cylinder for six rounds. Valid British nitro proof. Frame bridge inscribed on the left “MARK VI”, signed at bottom of the frame “Webley / Mark VI / Patents / 1918”. Various acceptance marks, broad arrow and British proof marks. Frame with “R.A.F.” stamp on the right. Original thin finish partially slight- ly spotted, cylinder with signs of wear. On the bottom left of the grip a slot for the mounting of the shoulder stock. With walnut shoulder stock, number 4740. Stock mounted by way of a grip-shaped, pierced, blued steel plate with the date stamp “1918”. The stock stamped “R.A.F. / W.2.” within a circle on the back right. The stock is additionally fastened from the right by a screw-on bronze grip panel. Two swivel rings. Good overall condition. The original shoulder stock comes from the Webley No. 1 Mark I signal pistol, which featured a grip that was identical to the Mark VI revolver’s. An extremely rare version of the Webley Mark VI.
