Alexanderordens ist zurückzugeben, da ich stattdessen am 7.9.18 das Großkreuz mit Schwertern u. Brillanten erhielt. M. 30.12.18. W” So die Annahme des Trägers Wilhelm Freiherrn von Leonrods im Dezember 1918! Dem entgegen das oben beschriebene Mitteilungs- schreiben, wohl von 1919. Width 54.2 mm. Weight 74.2 g. The eight-rayed breast star worked in silver with alternating convex and concave star rays, punched on the back with the greyhound head “3 A” and the simple city mark of fineness “A” for .800 Viennese silver, plus the manufacturer’s initials “FR”, the pin stamped with the manufacturer “C. F. ROTHE” and “WIEN”. The medallion embellished with double, faceted, beaded edging. Width 88.8 mm. Weight 62.8 g Together with the pale red order sash, customised with a rosette, in the red presentation case with the gold-embossed, crowned initials of Tsar Ferdinand I, the class designation in Cyrillic lettering and containing the wearer’s note (tr.) “This Grand Cross of the Bulgarian Order of St. Alexander is to be returned, as I received the Grand Cross with Swords and Diamonds in its place on 7.9.18. M. 30.12.18. W” Such was the assumption of the bearer, Wilhelm Freiherr von Leonrod in December 1918.
