| 113 Wilhelm Freiherr von Leonrod – A Grand Cross set of the Albert Order of the Kingdom of Saxony in the presentation case The order cross in the silver gilt version that was standard issue from 1903 (“S” in the lower cross arm), enamelled in various colours, with two-part medallions. A small chip in the green of the oak leaf wreath, one cross arm with a larger, superficial chip on the back. Stamped with “SCHARFFENBERG” “DRESDEN” in the lateral cross arms. Width 54 mm. Weight 46.8 g The eight-rayed breast star worked in silver from the same production period, the pin marked “S” and embossed with the manufacturer’s circular signet “G. A. SCHARFFENBERG DRESDEN GOLD­ ARBEITER F. D. K. S. ORDENSCANZ.” on the matte back. Several chips in the blue enamel of the medallion motto. Width 92 mm. Weight 72 g. Comes with the original-length, customised and worn sash, plus the family note (tr.) “Grand Cross of the Saxon Order of Albert” in the gold-embossed (the large state coat of arms), dark leather case of the manufacturer “Scharffenberg”, bearing the label “ Ordensband-Lager C.
