Patent to Captain for Grötsch (16 February 1814) with original signature of KingMax Joseph I. Farewell of Captain Grötsch (13 December 1827) with threepage “Protocoll”. Certificate of the 16th Royal Bavarian Infantry Regiment for the Commemorative Award for participation in the 1813/14 campaigns for Captain Georg Grötsch (19 June 1817). Decree on his appointment to major for Grötsch in the Infantry Regiment König (10 September 1840) with original signature of King Ludwig I. For August Grötsch (portrait copy enclosed): decree on his appointment to cadet in the 1st Royal Bavarian Infantry Regiment (29 December 1853), patent to sub-lieutenant (31 March 1855) with original signature of King Max II, patent to first lieutenant (14 December 1874) with original signature of King Ludwig II, decree on his appointment to captain (23 November 1882) with original signature of Ludwig II, document for the War Commemorative Medal 1870/71 (29 June 1871), document for the Commemorative Medal 1797 – 1897 (25 April 1899), military farewell as captain (24 December 1891), document for the Luitpold Jubilee Medal (24 March 1905). Additionally, six documents from the family, such as certificate of birth/baptism etc. Partly torn (adhesive tape in some places), traces of folding, darkened, partly stained, traces of use and age. Each document fixed to a cardboard leaf with a dot of glue, bound in a large album with linen cover, on the obverse an ornate leather carving (tr.) “House Chronicle”, signed “F. X. W.”, dimensions 39 x 28 x 5 cm. Unique family bequest of museum importance with several autographs of Bavarian kings in an album of high-quality craftsmanship by the leather carving master Franz Xaver Weinzierl of Pasing (brochure enclosed), whose works are on display, for example, in the Bavarian National Museum in Munich.
