A Roman gravestone with menorah and Jewish inscription, 3rd - 4th century A.D. Square marble slab (dimensions 23 x 23 x 6.5) with four-line inscription. The first three lines in Latin: “[.]ATINA POSITA / EST CVM NEPOTE / M SVVM NAONEM”. Below, in the fourth line, menorah in the centre, flanked by two Hebrew inscriptions. Surface with sinter deposits. Inscription well readable except for the first letter of the name. Interesting evidence of Jewish culture in the Roman provinces.
