A large Chinese brush pot, 19th - 20th century Cylindrical wooden pot with 1.5 cm thick wall. Probably rosewood (Huanghuali). The fine tracery accentuated by polishing, the coloration towards the mouth and the bottom changing from reddish brown to dark brown. In the center of the base a removable cylindrical insert with overhanging rim. Usual signs of use, otherwise in very good overall condition. Height 18.8 cm. Diameter 18.8 cm.
