| 133 ly tested and analysed with a C-AMS dating method at the Institute for Particle Physics of the ETH in Zurich in the late 1990s. According to the test results the helmets date back to the 13th/14th century. Cf. The method used at the time is controversial among experts, however, and the authenticity of the helmets is still called into question.
