Im Rücken ober- und unterseitig je ein Verschlusshaken sowie je 14 Ösen zum Verschnüren mittels des ebenfalls vorhandenen Seidenbandes. Die Seidenblumen altersbedingt etwas verdrückt, der Perlenbesatz mit minimalen Fehlstellen, ansonsten in sehr schöner und farbfrischer Erhaltung. Aufhauser of Vienna, circa 1860/70 The fine silk cloth with a ruched, gossamer silk border, set with tiny glass pearls. The neck, shoulders and back trimmed with a broad band of round seed pearls in differing sizes and teardrop beads attached to the lower edge. The left shoulder embellished with wire-reinforced silk flowers and blossoms. The incorporated silk corset in a slightly darker shade of green, eleven whalebone reinforcements sewn into the lining, and stamped “Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät” with a double-headed eagle. The cream-coloured waistband in ribbed silk with the manufacturer’s mark “Aufhauser”. A hook at the top and bottom of the back, along with 14 eyes for the silk ribbon lacing, which is also still in place. The silk flowers somewhat squashed due to age, minor imperfections in the seed pearls, otherwise in excellent condition, the colours still vibrant.
