Auf dem nach innen eingezogenen Umbruch ein ionisches Kymation. Im Inneren der Scha- le rund um den inwärts hochgewölbten Om- phalos ein Fries aus sechs Lotusblüten mit fünf Lotusblättern dazwischen. Fleckige Pati- na mit leichten Oxydauflagen. Durchmesser 13,8 cm. Höhe 5,2 cm. Provenienz: Ostdeutsche Privatsammlung. A Greek silver phiale with lotus decoration, 6th - 5th century B.C. Offering bowl with central omphalos, striking- ly inwardly drawn rim and funnel-shaped, slightly flaring rimwith horizontally flared lip. An Ionian cymation on the inwardly drawn rim. Inside the bowl , around the inwardly curved omphalos, a frieze of six lotus blos- soms with five lotus leaves in between. Spotted patina with light oxide layers. Diameter 13.8 cm. Height 5.2 cm.
