218 | An early South Indian Chola-style standing Vishnu sculpture, 13th century Formidable, partly openworked sculpture of a Vishnu in basic grano- lith. Fine details in relief, such as lavish breast ornaments. Symbols of luck and fertility in the raised arms at the back. Broken at the bottom, the right front arm is missing. The surface with signs of age and a won- derfully established patina. Height 72 cm. On a modern iron pedestal (total height 82 cm). In den erhobenen, hinteren Armen Glücks- und Fruchtbar- keitssymbole. Unten gebrochen, rechter, vorderer Arm fehlt. Oberflä- che mit Altersspuren und wunderbar gewachsener Patina. Höhe 72 cm.
