Kleiner rötlich-transluzenter Karneol mit der eingeschnittenen Figur der behelmten Minerva nach rechts. Ursprünglich gefasst. Rückseitig minimale Absplitterungen. Länge 1 cm. Dazu ein roter Ringstein. Auf der Außenseite dreizeilige eingravierte Inschrift in Griechisch „AURELIOU PISISTRATOU” - (Siegel des) Aurelius Peisistratos. Intakt. Länge 1,6 cm. Minimal chipping on the back. Length 1 cm. Accompanied by a red ring stone. On the outside a three-line inscription in Greek “AURELIOU PISISTRATOU” - (seal of) Aurelius Peisistratos. Intact. Seltene und ausgefallene Szene mit einem schlafenden Eros in einem krippenartigen Bett. Kopf- und Fußseite des Bettes mit Zacken (für Halterung?), davon eine gebrochen. Sonst intakt ohne Ergänzungen. Länge 11 cm. Höchst anmutige Szene! Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung.
