| 315 helmet band the German cap cockade for officers, the inside of the helmet inscribed “Plieninger Duala 1908”. Also included a photo (new copy). Signs of use and age. The items come from the estate of Ober- leutnant Plieninger. He had switched from the 2nd Alsatian Pioneer Battalion No. 19 (to which he still belonged in 1904) to the colonial forces in Cameroon. The long neck guard sewn on, a stamp in black ink on the inside reads “B-A IX ...”. The liner made of ochre-coloured felt , light brown cotton sweatband.
