1202 Ritterliches Schwert, Passau, 1. Hälfte 15. Jhdt. Schlanke zweischneidige Stichklinge mit rhombischem Querschnitt. Im oberen Drittel einseitig in Messing eingelegte unvollständige Datierung „144?”, dahinter eingelegter Bi­ schofsstab der Bischöflichen Schwertschmie­ den in Passau. Auf der Gegenseite ein in Messing eingelegtes Kreuz. Weit ausladende, leicht zur Klinge geneigte Parierstange mit quadratischem Profil. Schlanke, leicht koni­ sche Angel mit doppelt konischem achtkanti­ gen Knauf. Länge 119,5 cm. A knightly sword, Passau, 1st half of the 15th century Slender double-edged thrusting blade of flat- tened diamond section. The upper third with incomplete date “144?” inlaid in brass on one side, behind it inlaid bishop’s staff of the epis- copal swordsmith workshop in Passau. On the reverse a cross inlaid in brass.
