Height 11 cm. With the imperial proclamation in the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles on 18 January 1871 and the subsequent French capitulation, the Franco-German War of 1807/71 came to an end. Otto von Bismarck had achieved his goal to create a German empire under Prussian tutelage, thereby reaching the summit of his political career. Kaiser Wilhelm I expressed his appreciation by elevating Bismarck to the rank of prince, also awarding him Sachsen- wald. Significant desk seal.
