156 | A group of awards belonging to Oberst Alex- ander Rech Edlen von Feleky, commander of Infantry Regiment No. 19 Alexander von Feleky was one of the army’s youngest regiment commanders. The four awards are gifts from officers in his regiment, with a dedication on the back or “VomOffizier skorps des I.R. 19.” inscribed around the edge. Each award in the red presentation case of the K.u.K Kammer jeweller Rothe of Vienna, with the gold embossing “Vom Offizierskorps des k.u.k. Infanterieregimentes Nro. 19”. Order of Leopold, the Knight’s Cross in gilt bronze (star hallmark), enamelled in colour, the medallion ring on the back with corresponding, black-enamelled dedication around the edge, on a stitched, triangular ribbon. Military Merit Cross 2nd Class with war decoration, the neck cross in silver and coloured enamel with the in scription “Verdienst” in gold and the corre sponding, black-enamelled dedication on the back. The lozenge mark “FR” and the grey hound head 3A (for .800 silver before 1922) in the pin. Customised neck ribbon. Together with the (posthumous) award document dated 4 April 1916. Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with war decoration in coloured enamel and partially gilt silver, the black-enamelled dedica tion “VomOffz . Krps. des I.R. 19.” on the back of the cross arms,on a triangular ribbon. Plus the award document dated 13 April 1915. BronzeMilitaryMerit Medal “SignumLaudis” with a portrait of Kaiser Franz Joseph in gilt bronze and the corresponding dedication en graved around the edge, on the red peacetime ribbon. Also included, a pair of collar patches as Oberst, a photograph in an engraved silver frame with stand (tr.) “Faithful until death - killed at the enemy’s hands on 31 March 1916”, dimensions 15 x 23 cm, and five other photo graphs of von Feleky, a hand-drawn postcard inscribed “Stations on Christmas Eve 1915”, a framed small picture (tr.) “Infantry attack”, a framed glass negative with Feleky in a trench in winter (perhaps shortly before his death) and a letter to Feleky from the Chief of General Staff, dated 1913. 281538 II + € 16.000
