106 | 4133 Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich – elegantes Salonkleid mit Etikett des Achilleions der Münchner Schneiderin Marie Braun, um 1870/80 Das Oberteil mit eingearbeiteten Verstärkun- gen aus Fischbein (?) und der Rock aus creme- farbener Seide, beides bedeckt mit ebenfalls cremefarbener und floral verzierter Spitze. Die kurzen Ärmel mit feinem Tüll gefüttert. Im Oberteil Seidenetikett mit gesticktem Delphin unter Krone sowie Seiden/-ripsband mit gewebter Schneiderbezeichnung „Marie Braun - München”. Das Oberteil mit gegen- läufigen Haken, der Rock mit Druckknöpfen zu verschließen. Die Brust und der Rücken (in späterer Zweitverwendung?) mit Goldbrokat auf dunkelbraunem Seidentuch sowie einer lachsfarbenen Schärpe verziert. Die Taille et- was erweitert, die Seide partiell geschlissen, ansonsten aber in gutem Zustand. Provenienz: Hermann Historica, 26. Empress Elisabeth of Austria – an elegant salon gown with an Achilleion label by the Munich dressmaker Marie Braun, circa 1870/80 The bodice with whalebone (?) reinforcements sewn into the lining, the skirt made of cream-coloured silk, both covered with match- ing cream-coloured, florally embellished lace. The short sleeves lined with fine tulle. A silk label in the bodice with an embroidered dolphin surmounted by a crown and a silk/rib- bon band with the dressmaker’s woven name “Marie Braun - München”. The bodice fas- tened with two rows of hooks, the skirt with press studs. The bust and the back decorated with gold brocade on dark brown silk cloth and wrapped with a salmon-coloured sash, perhaps for its secondary use. Somewhat taken out at the waistband, the silk worn in places, otherwise in good condition.
