Empress Elisabeth of Austria – an elegant cape in the style of a Hungarian hussar’s pelisse, circa 1870 Exceptionally fine, pale, cream-coloured wool- len cloth with a fine border of hussar-style ap- plications in white wool and gold cords on both sides of the breast and at the nape. The collar embellished en suite on the left side only. The cuffs and the collar lined on the inside with a broad strip of cream-coloured faux fur, two buttons at the neck, the matching fastening rib- bon of silk and faux fur still in place.
