EXPORT LICENSE FOR CULTURAL GOODS When purchasing objects rated as so-called Cultural Goods and thus subject to the German “Act on the Protection of Cul- tural Property” (KGSG), an export license needs to be ob- tained within the European Union as well as into non-EC countries. The competent authority for such licenses is the Bavarian Staatsgemäldesammlung Munich / Pinakothek. Since only the owner of such objects can apply for an export license, we will be happy to assist you. This procedure only requires a little fee and receipt of your power of attorney.
