Mott Iron Works in New York gefer- tigt. Höhe 220 cm, Durchmesser 120 cm. Provenienz: Seit seiner Entstehung bis 1986 stand er an der Straßenecke 8th&Hall in St. Joseph, Missouri. Zwischenzeit- lich wurde er innerhalb St. Josephs versetzt (3000 Ashland). Sein letzter Standort von 2011 bis zum Abbau war in The Woodlands, Texas. A zinc fountain “Venus Rising from the Sea”, J. L. Mott, New York, 1880 Large zinc fountain with a life-sized representation of Venus (155 cm) on a stylised rock base with a fountain wreath. Made in 1880 by J. L. Mott IronWorks in NewYork. Height 220 cm, diameter 120 cm. P rovenance : Once finished, the fountain stood at the corner of 8th & Hall, St. Joseph, Missouri until 1986. It was moved intermittently within St. Joseph’s (3000 Ashland). It last stood in The Woodlands, Texas, from 2011 until it was dismantled. 275598 II - € 14.500
