Öl auf Leinwand. Maße 67 x 77 cm. Das Werk wurde von Franz Martin Kuen kurz vor seinem Tode 1771 vollendet. Es ist nach dembekannten Tiepolo-Fres- ko im Palazzo Labia in Venedig angefertigt worden. Kuen lernte Tiepolo während seines Studienaufenthalts in Venedig zwischen 1745 und 1747 kennen und wurde von diesemKünst- ler stark beeinflusst. Das Ölgemälde ist nach einer von ihm angefertigten Zeichnung aus der Zeit seines Studienaufent- halts geschaffen worden, welche im Kuen-Nachlass im Hei- matmuseum Weißenhorn aufbewahrt wird. Dimensions 67 x 77 cm. FranzMartin Kuen completed this painting shortly before his death in 1771. It is modelled on the well-known fresco by Tiepolo at the Palazzo Labia in Venice. Kuen met Tiepolo during his study visit in Venice between 1745 and 1747 and was greatly influ- enced by the artist’s work. The oil painting was created from a sketch of the fresco he made during his time in Venice, which is part of the Kuen estate kept at the local history museum of his home town Weissenhorn, Germany.
