200 | 1271 Fürst Otto von Bismarck – Lobmeyr- Vase als Staatsgeschenk, Ende 19. Jhdt. Glas, farbig handbemalt, vergoldet, im Boden die rote Inventar-Nummer des Bismarck- Museums „G VI Schö 27” und Papieretikett „... & L. Lobmeyer Wien”. Seitlich ein kreis- förmiges Papieretikett mit Bleistiftnummer „1108”. Vergoldung am Rande etwas berie- ben, Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Höhe 46,5 cm. Sehr repräsentativ. 1823 gründet Josef Lobmeyr sen. das Unter- nehmen in der Wiener Weihburggasse und wird bald k.u.k. Hoflieferant des habsburgi- schen Kaiserhauses. Der Sohn Ludwig Lob- meyr (1855 – 1917) wird zum bedeutendsten Protagonisten der österreichisch-böhmischen Glasherstellung und präsentiert das Unter- nehmen auf den ersten Weltausstellungen. 1864 ist er Mitgründer des heutigen Museums für angewandte Kunst Wien. Ludwigs Neffe Stefan Rath sen. (1902 – 1960) führt Lobmeyr in die Moderne und ist 1912 Mitgründer des Österreichischen Werkbunds. Lobmeyer Wien”. On the side a round paper label with number “1108” inscribed in pencil. Gold-plating on the edge somewhat rubbed, traces of wear and age. Height 46.5 cm. Very representative. In 1823, Josef Lobmeyr sen. established the company in the Weihburggasse in Vienna and soon became purveyor to the imperial and roy- al court of the Hapsburg imperial family. His son Ludwig Lobmeyr (1855 – 1917) became the major protagonist of the Austrian-Bohe- mian glass manufacture and presented the company at the first World Exhibitions. In 1864, he co-founded what is now the Museum of Applied Art in Vienna. Ludwig’s nephew Stefan Rath sen. (1902 – 1960) led Lobmeyr into the modern age and in 1912 was co-found- er of the Austrian Werkbund (Association of Craftsmen). 275918 II € 8.000 1271
