A French courtly pillbox with a portrait of the physician Aulus Cornelius Celsus, 18th century, from the estate of the grand dukes of Baden-Baden Two-part, circular wooden core, encased in rosé-gilt sheet iron, en- graved and embellished with a small enamelled portrait of the Roman physician Aulus Cornelius Celsus (circa 25 B.C. - circa 50 A.D.).
