Dieser teilweise graviert, ziseliert und fein in Silber tauschiert. Auf vier kleinen, glockenar- tigen Füßchen der streng geometrische, auf- klappbare Korpus mit sarkophagähnlichem Deckel. Schauseitig überreich an ägypti­ sierenden und dem Kulturkreis entsprechen- den mythologischen Szenen graviert. Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Teilweise berieben. Partiell restauriert. Schloss fehlend. Dem Alter entsprechend schöne Patina. Maße 12 x 16,5 x 9 cm. Provenienz: Alte süddeutsche Sammlung. Mit Gutachten vom 12.05.2004. An unusual French casket in the style of Retour d’Egypte, 19th century The free-standing, rectangular bronze body partially engraved, chased and with fine silver inlays. On four small, bell-like feet. Severely geometric, hinged body, the lid in the shape of a sarcophagus. The front lavishly engraved with Egyptianesque mythological scenes and others originating in the cultural area. Show- ing traces of age and use. Rubbed in places. Partially restored.
