| 117 5147 5147 A high-quality hunting hanger with silver fittings manufactured by Nicolas Boutet (Versailles), circa 1810 Blade of quadrangular section with floral cartouches etched on the base on both sides, the obverse with inscription “Guilmin Md. = Fourbisseur a Versailles”. Silver quillons with finely sculpted dog heads in relief and applied bore head in the centre, on the reverse various silver and master’s marks by Boutet. Fluted horn grip and narrowly mounted, surrounding wreath with oak leaf décor. Leather-covered scabbard with silver fittings. Locket with en- graved signature “Manuf‘re Imp‘le a Versailles Boutet” and master’s mark “N Pistole B” for Boutet. Chape with French silver mark from the era of the First Empire, the lateral stitching somewhat loosened, slightly knocked. Length 70 cm. Nicolas Boutet, well-known French gunmaker, worked for Napoleon as a director of the national armament factory during the revolution. 268375 II € 4.200
