Hahn in Form eines Monsterkopfes, der klappbare Zündrohr-Verschluss floral fein geschnitten und vergoldet mit Abschluss in Form eines plastischen Bä- renkopfes. Länge der Schlossplatte 12,7 cm. A very rare Milanese Console tube-lock mechanism, circa 1820 The entire lockplate and all components beautifully engraved with flow- ers and animal heads, the signature ”GIUSEPPE CONSOLE” inlaid in gold on the lockplate. Length 12.7 cm. Mechanics intact, very well maintained. This masterpiece once belonged to a luxury hunting rifle. This lock is described on page 383 in Arne Hoff's book ”Feuerwaffen I” from 1969.
