A cased Bergmann Mod. 1896, no. 3, 1st version without extractor Cal. 6,5 mm Bergmann, no. 311, Bright bore, barrel length 110 mm. Magazine for five rounds. Proof-marked double crown/U. With- out extractor for rimless cartridge. On the left of the frame “Patent/Bréveté/S.G.D.G.”, on the right of the lockplate within an oval the compa- ny logo with dwarf and surrounding inscription “Gaggenau - V.C.S. - Suhl”. Fully preserved original bluing, minimal signs of age and stor- age. Hammer, trigger, small parts and screws strawed, safety blued. Walnut grip panels with matching numbers and fine chequering. With- out loading frame. Presented in a bumped wal- nut case, dimensions 30 x 21 x 5 cm, a crack extending over the half length of the lid and cov- ered with black velvet, the base with dark blue velvet and a decorative green cord. Links am Rahmen dreizeilig gemarkt „Patent / Bréveté / S.G.D.G.”, rechts auf der Schlossplatte im Oval das Firmenlogo mit Zwerg und Um- schrift „Gaggenau - V.C.S. Suhl”. Originale Brünierung partiell leicht fleckig, besonders im Mündungsbereich. Hahn und Abzug gelb angelassen, leicht fleckig. Sicherungshebel ge- bläut. Unbeschädigte dunkle Nussholzgriff- schalen mit feiner Fischhaut. Fangriemenöse. Im zugehörigen Kasten, der Deckel mit un- richtigem Stoff gepolstert. Inliegend origina- ler Laderahmen, Putzstock und zwei Hülsen mit abgeschlagenen Zündhütchen. Suhl” within an oval. Original finish partially slightly spot- ted, especially at the muzzle. Hammer and trig- ger yellow, slightly spotted. Blued safety lever. Undamaged, dark walnut grip panels with fine fishscale pattern. Lanyard ring. In associated case, the lid lined with incorrect fabric.
