Exceptional bronze bow brooch with ten large lateral cones on each side of the bow. Hairline crack at the top of the bow. Extreme­ ly rare Etruscan type of a bow brooch. Length 10.5 cm. Große Bronzefibel mit rautenförmigem, un- ten hohl gearbeitetem Bügel, auf dem sich Längs- und Quergrat mittig kreuzen. Mittig seitliche Fortsätze mit drei Rippen, durch ko- nisch verlaufende Kehlungen getrennt. Einer fachmännisch ohne Fehlstellen wieder ange- setzt. Der langgezogene Fuß endet in einem dreifach gerippten Knopf, ähnlich den seit­ lichen Fortsätzen. Nadel vollständig erhalten. Schöne mattgrüne Patina. Länge 12,5 cm. Selten gut erhaltenes, intaktes Exemplar einer frühetruskischen Fibel mit eleganter Form­ gebung. Provenienz: Aus süddeutscher Privatsamm- lung, erworben seit den 1980er Jahren im Kunsthandel. Pin completely preserved. Beautiful green patina. Length 12.5 cm. A fine specimen of an early Etruscan fibula with stylish shape. Very rare in this perfect state of preservation.
